Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
The Moreno Valley Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is open to all who have an interest in Special Education. The purpose of the CAC is to provide education and support to parents and guardians, encourage community acceptance of students with special needs, improve communication between parents and guardians, district administrators, and MVUSD Board of Education, and to enhance the quality of special education services in the district. The CAC desires to make available to individuals with disabilities and their parents or guardians a forum where they may express the general needs of educational programs for students with disabilities.
The CAC meets monthly with the purpose of sharing resources, information, and ideas. It provides a place for parents to network with other parents, community members, and SELPA staff. The CAC meetings also provide a forum to raise questions and express concerns as well as receive training to build your skills as a care provider for children with disabilities.
CAC Meetings are held in the Board Room at the District Office located at 25634 Alessandro Blvd., Moreno Valley, from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm. Spanish interpreters and childcare are provided. If interpreters are needed for any languages other than Spanish, please contact the Special Education Department at (951) 571-7500.
