Welcome to 4th Grade

Dear Parents and Guardians

Welcome to the 2017/2018 school year. My name is Mrs. Rightnar and I will be your child’s 4th  grade teacher.  I look forward to working with you to make this a great year. My philosophy of teaching centers on mutual respect and teamwork. For this year to be successful we all need to work together. My students are expected to follow rules, share their thoughts and do their best. As parents, you will need to actively participate in your child’s education by communicating with the teacher, getting your child to school on time, assisting your child with schoolwork and by being supportive of your child at home. I will communicate my needs, remain consistent and fair and value your children for the unique individuals they are. I anticipate this will be an exciting year of learning and exploration. Please call or come to our room with all your questions or concerns I look forward to hearing from each of you.

This year I will be using social media to keep you updated on classroom events and achievements. Please go to the following sites (on the next page) and follow our class. Please know I take internet safety very seriously and will only allow those who are associated with this class to follow our class. Please be sure to sign the form at the the end of this packet if you do not want me to share your child’s image on these sites.
