Midland Elementary is committed to offering a first-class educational curriculum based on a foundation of excellent performance, commitment, and respect among students and staff, preparing students to be productive and responsible contributors in a democratic society.
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Moreno Valley's oldest school, Midland Elementary School's current site, was built in 1962. Midland however has a long history in the community. The original site was built in 1894, located at Alessandro Blvd. and Kitching St.
Setting high expectations for students, allowing students to be responsible for their own learning, and held accountable for their own behavior choices develops students' self efficacy and provides them the opportunity to take pride in their accomplishments.
Our students' social emotional learning is a top priority at Midland. Behavioral expectations are implemented, monitored, and evaluated following the “Positive Behavior Intervention and Support” (PBIS) research-based process. Midland's school-wide PBIS Rewards Program works to incentivize students' good choices and behavior with a point system where students can shop at the S.O.A.R student store for prizes.
NOTABLE CHOIR
Midland is proud to be an elementary school with a notable choir. The choir provides students with opportunities for rich conversations that prepare our students to be 21st century learners. Students preform for the community throughout the year. They learn colaberation among the grade levels and other skills.
MISSION STATEMENT
By offering a superior education, we empower each student to become skilled, respectful, and dependable citizens who regard learning as a permanent practice.
